Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh Spring Wedding
Katie & Rowan married in late March 2024 at the beautiful Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh, which is one of my all-time favourite venues in the city. I love the mix of old wood, and dark academia feel to the venue mixed with the amazing natural light the venue gets, it’s a bit of a dream space to photograph. Katie & Rowan had their ceremony in the New Library, before throwing confetti outside on the venue steps and spending 10-15 minutes with me getting some couple photos in Queen Street Gardens. They then had their drinks reception in the Cullen Suite, where we did a few group photos to avoid any guests getting too cold outside. After the drinks reception, we then went into the Great Hall that had been so beautifully set up by Saltire Hospitality. After some speeches and a lovely dinner from Saltire, the wedding party headed back out to the New Library, which had been turned into a bar area for the evening whilst tables were cleared and the band set up in the Great Hall. It was the first time I had seen the Ceilidh Storm Band perform at a wedding and they were amazing! They had a perfect blend of live covers and ceilidh dances, which I think so many wedding couples in Scotland are looking for! It was an amazing day celebrating Katie & Rowan’s wedding, you can check out some of my photos from the day below.
