Hey!
My name is Simon (he/him) and I am a photographer and filmmaker based in Edinburgh, Scotland but I travel all over the UK for weddings. I grew up in the south of England and since a very young age, I have always had a love for the outdoors. My mum often recites stories of when I was little, asking her to have my breakfast, lunch and dinner up the tree opposite our house. As I grew up I had this real urge to photograph and film my time in the outdoors, not only to capture some of the beautiful landscapes I would visit but to document my time spent with friends and family. Over the past 6 years of being a photographer, I’ve seen first-hand how important photography & film can be in immortalising an incredible memory, person or place. Photography can transport you right back to that moment and help you relive the emotions, feelings and happenings of that one moment in your life.

My Approach
For me, the most important thing on your wedding day is that you have an amazing time and that is my number one objective when working with any couple. I want you to feel like I’m there to support you throughout the whole planning processes and by the time it comes around to your wedding day, it will feel like we have been friends forever and I’m just a guest that happens to have a camera.
I shoot in a very relaxed, natural and unobtrusive way as I want to be documenting you and your loved ones having a great time on your wedding day in a real and authentic manner. I’m not going to treat your wedding day like a photo shoot, I’ll be right there to capture everything, but for the most part, I will leave you to enjoy your time. I am always keeping my eye out for those in-between moments, a hug from your Mum, a tear shed by Grandpa, or two friends sharing a laugh. I want to capture those moments filled with emotion so you can relive those moments for years to come.

Telling your story
Every couple and every wedding are so unique and I will truly invest in your wedding and put a lot of thought and heart into telling the story of your marriage through my work. It’s a very full-filling thing to tell the love story of each couple, knowing that they will cherish those memories throughout their married life. It is also an incredibly rewarding feeling to know that the photographs & films I make will act as heirlooms in their family history for generations to come.
