Wedderlie House Wedding, Scottish Borders

Nina & Michael got married in September, in the Scottish Borders, at the beautiful Wedderlie House. They made a full weekend of it, having a pizza welcome night the night before the wedding as many of the guests were staying on-site. The day of their wedding was a slightly dreich Scottish day, but the rain held off for the most part, and the beautiful pops of colour from the bridal party and the flowers (from the amazing Emily at Machair Studio) looked incredible against the moody canvas of the Scottish Borders. Nina & Michael both got ready at Wedderlie. Nina got ready with her bridesmaids in the bridal suite of the main house, and Michael with his groomsmen in the Hayloft. Their ceremony was held inside the barn, where they had readings and music from their friends and family, a warming of the rings and their exchange of vows. After the ceremony, they threw confetti and then enjoyed drinks and an amazing grazing table in the Barrel Barn. We took some group photos at this point before heading off for a quick portrait session to get some photos of just the two of them. Dinner was a beautiful spread of sharing plates from Lazy Sunday, which made for such a sociable dining experience. After dinner and speeches, there was a brief interlude for cocktail hour as the ceilidh band got set up. Dramboogie then kicked off the party that closed out the night! Here are a few of my favourite images from the day.
