My name is Simon Hird, and I am a wedding photographer and filmmaker based in Edinburgh, Scotland but am often found working all over the UK. Having documented 150+ weddings now, I’ve learnt the best way I can photograph your wedding is as your friend. I’ll photograph your wedding like a guest by immersing myself in your wedding, getting to know your friends and family, and creating work that feels real and full of the emotions from your day.
I know wedding planning can be a beautiful mix of exciting and daunting but I’m always here to help, whether that is to share advice, recommend suppliers or be a helping hand on the day in whatever way I can. I pride myself in being more than just a photographer on the day – nothing is too much trouble. I’m so happy to muck in and help in any way I can, whether it’s moving tables, putting buttonholes on the groomsmen or getting that extra photo of you and your best friend that you’ve not seen for ages! I’m there to help make your day relaxed and enjoyable and I’ll do whatever I can to make sure you have an unforgettable day.
