Dunglass Estate Wedding - Katie & Jack

Jack & Katie hosted their wedding at the lovely Dunglass Estate, a venue just south of Dunbar and about a 40-minute drive from Edinburgh City. Dunglass is an exclusive-use wedding venue with plenty of lovely accommodations and an amazing team of friendly staff. Both Katie & Jack got ready at Dunglass on the morning of their wedding, Katie at Sea View House, with hair and make-up in the summer house by Carol Harper & Karen Shields, and Jack in one of the cottages just off the main courtyard. Katie’s beautiful flowers were from Secret Garden Events Florist.

They got married at the stunning St. Mary’s Church in Haddington, which boasts the longest aisle in Scotland! The ceremony was conducted by Reverend Douglas Hamilton, an old family friend of Jack & Katie’s. After exchanging vows and rings Jack & Katie had some confetti and group photos just outside the church before heading back to Dunglass for their afternoon & evening reception. The sun held out for them meaning they had a lovely drinks reception outside in the courtyard of Dunglass before heading inside for a delicious sit-down meal. Catering was provided by the wonderful Jo’s Kitchen.

After the meal & speeches, the sun was still shining, allowing for some beautiful golden hour photos of just Jack & Katie on the ground of Dunglass, as well as of their friends and family who were enjoying drinks outside as the sun was setting. After cutting the beautiful cake made by Rustic Cake by Annie, Jack & Katie did their first dance before a few ceilidhs and music from the band Ceilidhdonia. To round off the day we ended with a few songs performed by Katie’s family who are full of musical talent. It was such a lovely and touching way to finish the wedding celebrations.
