Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh Wedding - Kirsten & Otto
Kirsten & Otto married in the John Muir Grove amongst the giant redwoods in a quiet corner of the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh. They piped in by the fantastic Gordon Rowan and the ceremony was conducted by Kirsten’s brother. The couple shared personal vows and there wasn’t a dry eye in the grove as they exchanged rings and tied the knot. After the ceremony, they enjoyed drinks and canapes outside the beautiful Caledonian Hall before heading in for dinner, speeches and dancing. The interior of the Caledonian Hall is just stunning, having been recently renovated it has the beautiful details of an old Grade B listed building, but also the modern panelling and lighting to create a light and elegant space. Kirsten & Otto opted for three single-tier cakes from the Pastry Section instead of your traditional tiered cake and they were beautiful! The Pastry Section is probably one of my favourite Edinburgh bakeries and I would highly recommend them to any future couples! The Jacobites finished off the evening with an awesome Ceilidh, these guys really bring the energy and are one of the best Ceilidh Bands in Edinburgh in my opinion. For the final photos of the day we took a short taxi ride to Circus Lane to capture the last of the evening light and a few lovely moments of Kirsten & Otto.
